Hey, I just found this device on-line called a computer-on-a-stick, which is almost what it sounds like, a computer on a stick. I'd like to try it. Does anyone else have any thoughts on how it would work or does anyone own one? I saw it at www.fingergear.com (It works in the USB drive and stores info.)

Its either a bootable USB stick, that you plug into a machine and it boots a live-CD style linux distro, with some space to store files. Or it's just some windows software allowing you to load your own custom desktop onto a machine by whacking in the USB stick.
It does give you a virtual "computer" you can take with you in either case, i.e. you will get your own desktop wherever you plug it in, but you still need access to a computer to do so.
read the page you linked
It is a usb-bootable linux distro, and also comes with a boot CD for systems which don't support boot-from-usb but do support boot-from-cd.
That is to say, it's a (based on 256mb model) $30(source:froogle) USB thumbdrive which they charge $70 extra to pre-load free software on.
What a deal!

They tried really hard to find good things to say about it.
Other reviews?
Can anyone pull up any other reviews on the computer-on-a-stick? I can't find much.

The only one I know
There is one interesting, I may try it one day. See gumstix (com). Of course there are many bread-board evaluation and development boards which could be used as base to build one.
