I have a great deal of admiration for Theo. He occasionally misses the mark, I think - but then, I never completely agree with anyone but myself.
Trying to defend him against everyone that attacks him is pointless. There are some with reasonable arguments, some that call him all sorts of names (and show themselves to be worse then he is), but all are childishly attacking somebody with little real reason to. I really don't understand why a small collection of GNU users insist on attacking Theo and OpenBSD every time the topic comes up. It's childish.
With amusement, I would also like to take the opportunity to point out Linus. Theo's temper flares sometimes, but he's no Linus. Linus openly admits to loving flame wars. He's overly critical against things he disagrees with. He happens to love "stirring the pot" and causing flamewars. Don't take my word for it, check the lists or read an interview with him that mentions it.
