I read that Builtin Virtualiation is available only in Itanium boxes and X64. But it is not supported on X86 machines. Is this True?

If not can anyone tell me how to proceed to install a Guest OS. I have worked on Vmware, want to have a feel of the virtualisation from Microsoft. Is there any doc available in Microsoft world which will tell the procedure to install Guest OS?
