what they do right is the OS. ever since apple went intel, their hardware isn't that special (not to say that i think that going intel is a bad idea). when exclusively running a non-OSX os on an apple, it isn't as good of an investment

It's amusing you mention their OS as what they do right, since isn't it based pretty heavily on BSD?

Really, it's the GUI and user experience that Apple gets right, and even then, they only get it right for a certain audience.

Yeah, I consider the GUI and user experience an integral part of OSX. As a person that is a big fan of OpenBSD and OS X, i still feel that Apple hardware is not the best choice for running OpenBSD.
